Desalination Plant set to fire up as Sydney dams drop to 59.9%

Yesterday afternoon, Water New South Wales’ website officially recorded the total storage in the Sydney basin from the city’s 11 dams to be at 59.9% which is the automatic trigger for the desalination plant to be taken out of mothballs.

Chris Minns MP is the Shadow Minister for water in New South Wales and joins Michael to discuss what is sure to be a big issue leading up to the state election… and for which Labor is already on the attack over the situation in Sydney particularly, but also in the bush.
