Demand for utes hits new heights with the release of the new Ford Ranger

Strong demand for utes continues with the Toyota Hilux our top vehicle seller in June with 7582 sales. up 40 per cent on June last year.

Last Tuesday Ford launched the latest Ranger ute, the company holding a staggering 17,000 pre-launch orders with at least 4,000 for the sought-after top line Raptor. The new Ford Ranger arrives in 7 4 x 2 models, prices ranging from 35,930 to 53,990 and 17 4 x 4 models from 47,030 to 85,490 for the top-line 3.0-litre turbo petrol Raptor double-cab pickup.

Demand is such that Ford  has set up a special stock website to update customers on wait times and availability.

Ford claims the new Ranger reflects the broader use of pick-ups from work to family and play. Ranger sales in the first half of the year representing 70 percent of Ford Australia’s sales.
