Current wild weather explained

Luke Grant

Thomas Hinterdorfer, Higgins Storm Chasing manager, forecaster and storm chaser, joins Luke Grant to explain the current wild weather that sees warnings of “life-threatening” flash flooding & windstorms stretching from the NSW Mid-North Coast to Sydney’s north.

Following warnings from the BOM, many living in low lying areas have been advised to prepare to move to higher ground or risk isolation with rainfall could be as high as 200mm in coming days.

NSW SES says they have received more than 8,000 calls for help and have performed over 800 flood rescues.
