The recent suggestion of a National Child Sex Offender Register met with favorable approval from the parents of one of the most despicable crimes against a child in our history. Here is that story and how they caught the killer.

On 7 December 2003, 13-year-old Sunshine Coast schoolboy, Daniel Morcombe, was abducted at 1.35 in the afternoon while waiting for a local bus. Such a blatant crime triggered the biggest police search in the state’s history.
