They were the odd couple. The tall, handsome, blond-haired, blue-eyed Estonian-born Sydney eastern suburbs GP, Dr Enn Vilo, and the short, flashy, cigar smoking Greek-born, Andreas Stathopolous. While Dr. Vilo tended the sick from his Woollahra clinic and lived with his wife and three children in a palace in Vaucluse commanding magnificent views of Sydney Harbour, Stathopoulos haunted the racecourses and big stakes gambling dens under his alias Andrew Stathis, better known as Andy the Greek.
