Chinese cameras watch our top secret sites

James Paterson, Liberal Senator for Victoria & Shadow Minister for Cyber Security & Countering Foreign Interference, who exposed the story yesterday about the Chinese Government linked security camera systems in government buildings.

“There are almost 1,000 cameras linked to the Chinese Communist Party installed in some of our most sensitive Commonwealth Government departments and agencies. They must be ripped out straight away”, says Senator Paterson.

The Senator also reflects on the career of Alan Tudge who has announced his resignation from federal politics.  After representing the Melbourne seat of Aston since 2010, he leaves politics to protect his family, which he said had been subject to online abuse and even death threats.
