Cedric Dubler on demonstrating true Aussie mateship

Cedric Dubler is an Olympic Decathlete, his effort in the final event of the Tokyo 2020 Decathlon was one of the defining moments of the Games.

Showing true mateship and Olympic spirit, Cedric sacrificed his own result pushing friend and teammate Ash Moloney on in the final event, the 1500m.

With Cedric’s encouragement Ash Moloney went onto win an Olympic bronze medal, Australia’s first ever medal in the decathlon.

Cedric joins John Stanley from quarantine to talk about his training, his journey leading up to the Olympics, and why he decided to become a decathlete.
