Calls for Seasonal Worker Deaths Investigation

The federal government is being urged to investigate the deaths of seasonal workers.

Twelve people have died in Australia over the past five years, while taking part in the federal-government run Seasonal Worker Program.

The program was designed to help farmers struggling to find staff to pick fruit and vegetables.

Rural reporter Roshai Murdoch spoke with Shadow Employment Minister Brendan O’Connor about the issue.
