Bosses should allow you to disconnect during holidays

Several countries have recently introduced legislation giving employees the legal right to disconnect electronically from work.

Originating in France, right-to-disconnect initiatives mandate that organisations cannot expect employees to be available outside of their established working hours.

This legislation has now expanded to Ireland, Canada, Spain and other countries.

Bill Woods is joined by Graeme Cowan, Mental Health & Resilience Expert, co-founder, WeCARE365, and Founding Board Director, R U OK?, who explains that research shows employees who have the freedom to choose how to structure their workday have higher levels of work engagement and innovation.
