Australia set to face its third consecutive La Niña

Some bad news was released today from the Bureau of Meteorology, with them officially declaring a La Niña weather event is underway in Australia.

This makes the third La Niña summer in a row and ups the risk of rain and flooding in the coming months. Brisbane has already announced that they will be offering free sandbags ahead of feared flooding.

Climate Scientist from UNSW, Matthew England explains to John Stanley why La Niña will be returning to our shores this summer.
