Meth-contaminated homes are more common than you might think in Australia, and it’s causing entire families to fall ill.
Dr Jackie Wright, Australia’s foremost expert on methamphetamine contamination, joins John Stanley to explain there is currently no effective regulatory oversight of remediation of properties that have previously been used as meth labs, presenting both health and asset value risks for future tenants and owners.
There are many homeowners who may not be aware that their insurance policies will not, in many cases, cover remediation of former meth labs.
