Anthony Sharwood: The Brumby Wars

John Stanley

Brumbies are incredible animals who roam the High Country and Snowy Mountains across Australia, but they’ve been at the centre of controversy.

Australians have very strong opinions about the brumbies, some see them as horses who shouldn’t be harmed just because they’re feral, others who have seen the damage they do believe they should be removed or destroyed.

In a passionate and emotional piece of writing called The Brumby Wars, author Anthony Sharwood pours a number of brumby advocates and how these horses represent a vanishing way of Australian life.

Anthony joins John Stanley to share his latest work and both sides of the debate.
