Clinton Maynard is joined by Ehssan Veiszadeh, Deputy CEO & Director of Strategy at the Committee for Sydney, to discuss Labor’s pledge of $500m in its first budget for a fast rail with Sydney to Newcastle the priority.

Federal Opposition leader Anthony Albanese says the fast rail will cut travel times between the cities by 30 minutes with local business leaders welcoming the announcement.

Mr Veiszadeh says ‘a fast rail connection between Sydney & Newcastle is long overdue & just what we need as we emerge out of the pandemic.’
