Alfa Romeo extends its new car warranty to five-years/unlimited kilometre
Alfa Romeo Australia this week announced it was strengthening its customer commitment by extending its new car factory warranty to five-years/unlimited kilometre, also extending roadside assistance in the process from three to five years.
All new Alfa Romeo vehicles delivered from April 22 gain a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty replacing the previous three-year/50,000 km. offering. The warranty is fully transferable to a new owner should the vehicle be sold during the five-year term.
The move brings Alfa-Romeo into line with other premium brands who over the last l8 months have mostly extended to a five-year warranty – only BMW, Porsche and Maserati remain with three-year factory support although competitive pressure could well see them fall into line.
Alfa Romeo sales in the first quarter this year tallied just 162 nationally, a far cry from those of five years ago, but 20.9 per cent ahead of the same period last year.
