Adulthood now begins at 28

Clinton Maynard

Luke is joined by Bernard Salt, Managing Director of The Demographics Group & columnist with The Australian, to talk about his new report that reveals changing expectations and opportunities mean Australians now aren’t entering adulthood until they’re 28, and they’re not becoming truly old until they hit 77, prompting savers to rethink their goals for their golden years.

Also discussed is a report naming Australia’s top towns.  Mr Salt believes there is a way to measure the best towns in Australia and it involves using the 2021 census to filter urban centres and localities using a range of demographic, social and civic criteria.
