A skate park for everyone

John Stanley

Skateboarding typically isn’t considered an inclusive sport, but one indoor park is working to ensure everyone can ride its rails and ramps.

A skate park on the Sunshine Coast gives skateboards with disabilities a chance to feel free and proud when they skate.

John Stanley talks to Chris Hignett, owner of Alley Oops Skate Park, who has built custom frames on wheels to allow users to skate or scoot around their indoor courses. Chris explains how he hopes that eventually, these frames will be used worldwide to give everyone the opportunity to skate.
