2019 dubbed the international year of the periodic table

The United Nations has designated 2019 as the international year of the periodic table of chemical elements which coincides with the 150th anniversary of the table’s creation.

Also marking a number of other milestones in the history of chemistry, Michael speaks to Professor Mark Ogden from Curtin University’s School of Molecular & Life Sciences to find out how important was the creation of the periodic table 150 years ago and how might it compare to other milestones of human discovery?
