Notorious ‘playboy rapist’ Simon Monteiro will be released from jail within a month despite his victims fearing for their lives.

Monteiro was sentenced to 12 years jail for bashing and raping a former girlfriend and has served 10 years.

He’s been granted parole despite psychiatrists stating he could re-offend.

One of his victims, former girlfriend Kay Schubach, has gone public with her story in an attempt to keep him behind bars.

Kay tells Mark Levy he is a dangerous man who has shown no remorse for his horrific crimes.

“I never in my heart felt the parole board would see fit to let him out.

“He’s resisted all attempts at rehabilitation. He hasn’t shown any remorse or contrition whatsoever.”

Kay says his violent tendencies quickly escalated to “murderous intensity”.

“He started to get more and more violent. Eventually, he tried to strangle me on the floor of my apartment and I knew I had to go to the police.”

Corrections Minister David Elliott is on holiday, with his staff saying the government is seeking legal advice on the matter.
