The devastation of last week’s wild weather has destroyed many homes and businesses.

Last week floodwaters ruined the art and cultural precinct with the Lismore Library and the popular Northern Rivers Conservatorium. 

Paintings, books, and artwork were all destroyed and 200 instruments at the Conservatorium were also washed away.

Northern Rivers Conservatorium Anita Bellman told Jim Wilson, “It’s just a disaster area”.

“There was about four meters of water through our building.

“Heartbreaking.”
