Transport Workers Union and the RTBU have plans for a strike on Monday. It will affect bus routes in all of Sydney except the eastern suburbs and lower north shore.

It will be a 24-hour strike and drivers at three companies will be involved: Transit Systems, Transdev and ComfortDelGro.

RTBU Tram and Bus divisional secretary David Babineau told Luke Grant there are too many issues with ‘inequality and conditions’ across the board.

“These are to a large degree the result of privatisation.”

“We need more than words at this point.”
