The Penrith Panthers have acknowledged criticism of their lacklustre attack in the Battle of the West, vowing to improve.

Outgoing Panthers centre Matt Burton told James Willis and Brad Fittler if the club are to stand a chance against the Melbourne Storm, they’ll need to lift their game.

“There’s definitely a lot of improvement left in us, but we’ll keep working on it at training.

“It’s the little things that’ll win us the game.

“Last week I think we missed a few opportunities there, and we’re going to need to execute this weekend against Melbourne.”
