A leaked photo has revealed Viliame Kikau has signed with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, leaving Penrith Panthers fans reeling.

Kikau will remain with the Panthers next year, but will join the Bulldogs in 2023.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary told Mark Levy while he and the team are “really sad” about Kikau’s departure, they’re also happy for him and understanding of the decision with a firstborn child on the way.

“The better you go, everyone’s value goes up.

“We’ve had six players make their Origin debuts in the last two years.

“There comes a day when telephone numbers get thrown at players … it’s just a reality of life.”
