The CEO of the Pedestrian Council of Australia has criticised politicians for failing to address the issue of delivery bike riders riding on footpaths.

Harold Scruby explained to Chris O’Keefe that in 2021, all petrol or electric-powered bicycles became illegal on NSW roads and is asking politicians to do something about this scandal.

“Let’s bring this up for an election issue and ask the politicians why they’re doing nothing,” Mr Scruby said.

“They all care about gambling, but not one has mentioned this scandal.”

“We demand the right to walk on footpaths without the threat of motor vehicles behind us all the time who are racing to make the next delivery.”
