Australian Idol star Paulini Curuenavuli is undertaking a mammoth run to raise awareness for prostate cancer in memory of her late father.

Throughout the month of September, the songstress has set the lofty goal of putting 72 kilometres below her feet in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Paulini told Deborah Knight she’s not discouraged by “never before” running close to such distance.

“Every day I’m going to be getting in some kilometres and I’m definitely going to get the 72 [kilometres] in!

“I’d really love to help out any way I can to bring awareness to prostate cancer.

“There’s so many men going through the same thing, and families and there is help for each and every person out there.”
