Pauline Hanson proposes tough penalties for banks

Article image for Pauline Hanson proposes tough penalties for banks

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson wants the big banks to use savings from company tax cuts to compensate victims of misconduct.

The Royal Commission has so far uncovered hundreds of cases of wrongdoing by financial institutions.

Senator Hanson tells Alan Jones the banks shouldn’t be rewarded for doing the wrong thing.

“The banks should pay for the Royal Commission, actually quarantine the money from the company tax cuts that they will be eligible for.

“And that’s to pay compensation to anyone that’s been wronged by the banks.”
