Parramatta River swimming spot reopens after 50 years
A swimming spot along the Parramatta River is reopening to the public after more than five decades.
Bayview Park in Concord is being rejuvenated to allow swimming for the first time since 1969.
Phillip Birtles from Sydney Water told Deborah Knight people had abandoned swimming in the river because of water quality issues.
“A lot of factories along the river which contributed to the pollution have moved away, which has made a real difference.”
