‘Overwhelming’ support for clubs banning unvaccinated patrons into 2022

A coalition of northern beaches clubs have instituted a no jab, no entry policy until at least January 31.

The government mandate requiring hospitality patrons to be fully-vaccinated ends on December 15.

Dee Why RSL CEO Grant Easterby told Jim Wilson his club’s policy reflects both his staff and members’ wishes, and others clubs have found a similar response.

Members contacted while they were in self-isolation expressed an “overwhelming” call for such a mandate, he explained.

“If there’s a change in public health orders or there’s a change in that whole COVID landscape, we will obviously review that in detail and consider the implications.”
