A member of the Legislative Council has slammed seven people for allegedly lying about being victims of sexual assault to scam the state government of $1.3 billion.

Independent MP Rod Roberts says it’s the latest government compensation scheme to fall victim to rorting.

“I looked into the scheme and I thought this is open to rorting so easily so I wrote to the Attorney-General,” he told Mark Levy.
