A man has died and a teenager has been arrested after a double-stabbing at the Church of Scientology’s headquarters on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
Emergency services were called to the religious centre on Greville Street, near Fullers Road at Chatswood just after 12.30pm, following reports of a stabbing in the centre’s driveway.
They found a 24-year-old man with life-threatening neck injuries. He was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.
Another man, believed to be in his 40s, was also taken to hospital with a minor wound.
The pair were attacked with a large kitchen knife.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and taken to Chatswood Police Station for questioning.
Police say the 16-year-old was asked to leave the premises and stabbed the men while he was being escorted from the centre.
NSW Police Inspector Simon Jones says the victims were employees of the Church of Scientology.
