Olympic great Michael Klim reveals his challenges living with rare illness

Australian swimming great Michael Klim has opened up on his heartbreaking story of living with a rare and incurable neurological disorder.

The 44-year-old was diagnosed with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) in 2020.

The condition resulted in sensory loss and absent reflexes.

Michael Klim told Jim Wilson he faces numerous challenges to his daily routine.

“There’s a lot of things I can’t do anymore, every little activity I want to do is no longer straight forward.”
