A resident from the state’s north is separated from his wife after his home was submerged in floodwater.

Truck driver Jimmy is stuck in Queensland while his wife is at an evacuation centre after his two-storey Woodburn home was flooded.

He told Ben Fordham his dogs had to be left behind.

“Everyone keeps on going on about Lismore, but it’s a flow-on effect.”
