With the lifting of restrictions brought forward, the NSW Treasurer has stressed the government is continuing to monitor the health situation.

Matt Kean told Jim Wilson health advice about restrictions will continue to be followed as COVID cases inevitably rise.

“We don’t want to see any of the outbreaks that are occurring in Europe or overseas.

“We’re not going to play ‘rule in, rule out’ games other than to say the priority will be keeping the community safe.

“Trust me when I say that no one wants to take a step back now, but we shouldn’t have to with the vax rates so high.”
