NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet believes this winter season’s influenza outbreak is in some cases more severe than COVID-19.

The flu season has likely reached its peak in New South Wales but Aussies are being warned the worst is yet to come from a new wave of COVID-19.

Mr Perrottet stressed the importance of raising the issue at National Cabinet.

Dominic Perrottet told Ben Fordham now is an “important time” to receive the flu vaccine.

“As we move through the next phase of the pandemic we need to balance up the competing health issues,” he said.
