NSW Premier says the suspension of elective surgery is on the table as the state grapples with high COVID case numbers.

There are almost 1,500 people in hospital with COVID, and 119 in ICU.

Dominic Perrottet told Chris Smith the government is “looking at suspending elective surgery”.

“There’s obviously significant pressure on the system.”
