NSW Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello has defended the use of QR codes across the state.

The government reinstated QR codes before the national cabinet agreed on a new definition of close contacts.

Chris Smith has declared them “redundant”, with casual contacts now scrapped and only household contacts required to isolate.

Mr Dominello told Chris Smith “I think they have a place” but admitted they could be reviewed.

“They’re a reminder that if you do get symptoms, monitor them and remember that it’s still around.”
