NSW Labor leader offers support for ‘common sense’ roadmap
The NSW government’s roadmap out of lockdown, detailed today, has the support of the state Opposition.
NSW Labor leader Chris Minns told Jim Wilson he’s backing the plan, which echoes the recommendations of the Doherty Institute modelling.
“I know there’s going to be a few people who are a bit upset that a specific date hasn’t been nominated; I actually think that’s common sense.”
He called for the state government’s modelling to be released to the public to remove any “ambiguity” about the rationale for hotspot LGAs to be kept in lockdown after the rest of NSW reopens.
“We’d have to assess it on its merits.”
