NSW Government puts brakes on dodgy odometer scam

Article image for NSW Government puts brakes on dodgy odometer scam

The New South Wales government has rolled out an innovative system to protect consumers from used car sellers manipulating odometer readings.

By simply inputting their registration and number plate details, consumers can access the previous three annual odometer readings of any vehicle, facilitating an informed buying decision.

Minister for Customer Service, Jihad Dib told Chris O’Keefe “it’s a really good first step in the right direction.”
