NSW government accused of discriminating against small transport operators

An independent transport operator based in north-west Sydney has called out the NSW government’s ‘devaluation’ of her industry.

Craig’s Mini Buses director Marie Hartley told Jim Wilson she’s been dismissed by both the Small Business Minister and Transport Minister when enquiring about what happens when the currently available financial assistance ends.

“All those other bus companies out there … should be awarded a medal for tenacity – I don’t know how we’ve gotten through the last 18 months.

“You never hear about us in press releases … it’s just like we don’t exist.

“I feel we’ve been discriminated against … aviation, travel agencies, they’ve all had targeted financial assistance.”
