NRL great Chris Mortimer reveals what Freddy was like as a roomate!

Mat Thompson

Freddy phones a friend, or rather his ex-roommate and old teammate Chris Mortimer, to talk about some of Chris’s career highlights.

Brad Fittler revealed that Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs great, Chris Mortimer, was his first roommate as a professional footballer playing for the Penrith Panthers.

“I had to keep an eye on him, I don’t know why they stuck him with me up in Brisbane,” Chris joked to Freddy and Mat Thompson.

During his career, Chris played 250 first grade games and ended with the 1990 Grand Final, where the Canberra Raiders defeated the Penrith Panthers 18-14.

“It was very disappointing, it wouldn’t have taken much for it to come our way,” said Chris.
