The St George Illawarra Dragons have pulled off a miraculous Anzac Day Cup upset defeating the Sydney Roosters 14-12.

Two early tries from stars Francis Molo and Jaydn Su’a saw the reds take the lead after twenty-five minutes.

The Roosters fought back hard but were unable to get the victory in a thrilling Anzac Day clash at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo told Mark Levy he is so proud of the match between the two on a day like today.

“The fact we are able to do this as a rugby league community … is extremely special.”

Controversially, Daniel Tupou escaped the sin bin for a high shot which stunned many and the NRL CEO weighed in.

“I was very surprised it wasn’t a sin bin… I think it should have been.”
