NRL CEO ‘disappointed’ with Panthers back in the headlines ‘for the wrong reasons’

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has decried player behaviour that brings the game into disrepute, in the aftermath of the Panthers’ post-Grand Final antics.
Mr Abdo told Jim Wilson while he couldn’t comment on the specific incident in which the Penrith Panthers allegedly broke and mocked the Premiership trophy, it is under investigation.
“We’re actually looking a whole range of matters now, and I hope to conclude those very soon, and then I’ll be able to talk about it.
“Any time we’re in the news for the wrong reasons, and people are making poor decisions, it is very disappointing.
“Our job now is to work out whether or not any rules have been breached.”
