Northern Beaches locals ‘bash’ to help disadvantaged
A Bash veteran of 13 years, Sonya and lifelong friend, Mandy Parker will be driving their 1967 Holden HR and in keeping with the zany, fancy dress fun of the event, decking it out and dressing as Bashful Bees.
Their music playlist is a very careful consideration before their departure, they also do sound checks with their car speakers.
Sonya Link is from the Northern Beaches and It’s a 4.5-kilometre trek over 10 days to raise money for sick, disadvantaged kids and those living with special needs.
Ms Link explained to Jim Wilson how the ‘Bashful Bees’ came about.

The Bash will depart at 8.30am on Sunday 7 August from Bungarribee (The New Sydney Zoo) and finish at Bakers Creek, QLD on Tuesday 16 August 2022.
