Northern Beaches Hospital opens after years of construction
After three years of construction, The Northern Beaches Hospital has opened for business.
The facility opened its doors at 7am, with more than 100 patients to be transferred from Manly Hospital throughout the day.
The serene view our mates from @SydneyHEMS have of the brand new Northern Beaches Hospital this weekend belies the huge amount of work we are putting in to get the Emergency Department mission ready

The privately operated hospital will house both public and private patients.
Health Minister Brad Hazzard tells Alan Jones he was in the Emergency Department as the first patient arrived.
“Great team, looking forward to it.
“They said to me, ‘Hey Brad, we’ve got our first patient actually coming.'”
“It was just after 7 o’clock, our first patient coming in by ambulance.
“So, they’re all very excited.”
