A man has been seriously injured in a workplace accident inside the North Connex tunnels.

The 26-year-old had a saw blade, weighing more than a tonne, fall on his lower legs.

Listener Daniel is at the work site and tells Ray Hadley colleagues “extracted him from the tunnel on the back of a ute”.

“They’re working on him. It looks pretty frantic.”

NSW Ambulance Inspector Chris Meredith updated the situation, telling Ray the man appears to be in a better condition than first thought.
