‘No one knows what they’re doing!’: Ray Hadley rips into floodplain stamp duty ‘thought bubble’
Ray Hadley has slammed the NSW government’s idea of encouraging individuals to move away from floodplain areas.
The idea is to offer subsidies, such as stamp duty concessions, as Deputy Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon is tasked with leading Northern NSW’s recovery.
“Did anyone in the cabinet think this through?” Ray said.
“Who’s gonna buy the house off him in Lismore on the floodplain? No one!
“Is this the best we can do in government?”
