‘No economic vision’: Key points out of the NSW Leaders Debate
Privatisation, overseas-built trains and ferries and poker machine reforms have dominated 2GB’s state election debate – between the Premier and Opposition leader.
Quickly the pair clashed on the privatisation of toll roads like the West Connex.
The Premier is denying he has more plans for privatisation, while Chris Minns highlighted the problems with ferries and trains built overseas.
Mr Minns defended his decision to have a trial of cashless poker machines which Mr Perrottet says is a weak response.
The Opposition Leader stated to Ben Fordham that gambling has exploded over the Coalition’s years in power pointing to sports betting and a second casino.
The pair also disagreed over the public service pay cap.
I just finished my first debate with Dominic Perrottet.
One thing was clear, his only plan for the future is more privatisation.
NSW faces a clear choice: more privatisation under the Liberals, no more under Labor. pic.twitter.com/IUpgT1w2HG
