New documentary aims to portray the Queen’s life in a ‘slightly different way’ to most

2GB Afternoons

A documentary celebrating the life and 96th birthday of the queen hits screens today.

‘ELIZABETH: A Portrait in Parts’  celebrates the milestone birthday along with the monarch’s Platinum Jubilee as official celebrations approach in early May.

Film producer Kevin Loader told Deborah Knight the film dives into a unique and rare insight into her life that many individuals have never seen.

Mr Loader said he wanted to “construct a very unusual celebration of her time as Queen.”

“We were able to get as close to the Queen over the whole duration of her reign.”
