NDIS funding has been restored for a young cancer survivor receiving specialist physical therapy.

Seven-year-old daughter Ava was diagnosed with cancer when she was just 9 months old and is now wheelchair-bound.

NDIS had ceased the funding for Ava’s specialised therapy sessions that she’s been doing since the age of three.

Her mother, Christine, told Ben Fordham on Monday the sessions are Ava’s best chance to walk again.

Now, she’s received a positive result.
