An insight into ‘Sovereign Citizens’ has been revealed.

The “concerning trend” is growing in popularity and those involved are said to be spreading their conspiracies online and in person.

Political sociologist and Associate Professor from Deakin University Dr Josh Roose told Ben Fordham, COVID lockdowns had a severe effect on the viewpoints of ‘Sovereign Citizens’.

“They’re really motivated by these deep seeded beliefs that there is a secret government that they can claim full sovereignty and independence from.”
