‘My comments were too strong’: Perrottet clarifies calls for NRL racism life ban

Ben Fordham

Ben Fordham has pressed the NSW Premier over “double standards” in relation to Latrell Mitchell copping racial abuse.

Over the weekend the 25-year-old Rabbitohs Player was allegedly called a “b***k dog” by a teenage fan.

Mr Perrottet in a press conference this week stated the fan should receive a life ban.

Ben Fordham: “He’s a 15-year-old who allegedly made a dumb comment, didn’t you make a dumb decision when you were 21-years of age?”

Dominic Perrottet: “There’s no place for racsim in sport…”

Ben Fordham: “Can you see the double standard here? … you’re calling for a life ban, people will be saying ‘hang on a minute is this Dominic Perrottet saying this?'”
